Totaling nearly 15 years of combined restaurant experience, Chef Steven has served in every position of the professional kitchen from dishwasher where he got his start to Executive Sous Chef where he was responsible for overseeing staff, ordering food products, overseeing service execution, creating daily specials, and menu planning. His experience is comprised of elevated American regional influences in restaurants with high volume and high standards.

Idle Hour Country Club (Macon, GA) Chef Chris Cousins – Apprentice, Prep Cook, Line Cook where he studied classical European disciplines and techniques under Chef Cousins and Sous Chef Rich Siker.
Maggiano’s Little Italy (Buckhead, GA) Chef Mycheal Bonner and Chef Eric Mulville – Line Cook, Coordinator. Learned and oversaw all kitchen stations, expedited service, and executed large scale banquets
NAVA (Buckhead, GA) Chef Kevin Rathbun – Worked all stations of lunch and dinner service, assisted in the creation of daily specials under the direct supervision of the renowned Chef Rathbun.
Van Gogh’s (Roswell, GA) Chef Paul Agnelli – Executive Sous Chef responsible for menu planning and execution, creation of daily specials, overseeing staff, and ordering food products.
Steven eventually exited from the restaurant business for a period of time to pursue a career in IT and raise a family; however, over the years he always returned to his passion for cooking continuing to develop his skills.
In 2017, Blue Duck was born and in 2019 Steven left the IT world to pursue Blue Duck full time where he now brings his passion for Inspired American Cuisine to people in their homes as a private chef.

Belated Family Christmas Dinner
Chef cooked our family the most beautiful and delicious 4 course dinner for 13 people. Our family loved it so much- generous portions – fresh ingredients- presentation and Chef Steven’s professionalism felt like we were dining in a 5 star restaurant. I can’t wait to see what he cooks up for us next time. Definitely booking again! We are foodies and love going on culinary adventures. Thank you so MUCH for being so talented!
Great Experience
Chef Steven made our family an amazing 4 course meal at our Blue Ridge cabin over Christmas. He engaged with the kids, made the process fun, and most of all took care of every single detail. We’ll be using Chef Steven again!
Great evening
Had a party of 11 for our mountain trip and Chef Steven crushed it. We had a 7 course meal that was a knock out.
His duck entree was my personal favorite and dessert was off the chain.

Amazing Food and Service
I had an event planned for a 4 course dinner for 9 ladies. I found out very last minute that I had booked the wrong date. Chef Steven not only adjusted his schedule to accommodate MY error but served us the most AMAZING food. Everything was perfect and there was not a morsel of food left on anyone’s plate! Can’t wait to book Blue Duck again….what an incredible Chef!!!
